Excelloy Stainex C AC/DC +

Universal high chromium and nickel electrode designed to join a wide range of stainless steels even when chemistry is unknown

This alloy can be used for dissimilar metal welding including steels of high harden ability. Commonly used for the welding of stainless clad steels, joining of chrome-molypiping. Materials exposed to cyclic heating below 800 degrees F (425 degrees C) will be successfully repaired with this product.

Procedure

Prepare weld zone in accordance with standard welding practice. Grind scale and oxidation exposing new material. Operate electrode at lowest effective amperage. Skip weld as much as possible to reduce distortion. Remove slag after weld has cooled.
